As Christians, we are called to a place of patient endurance. The Holy Spirit helps us as we bear the various fruits of the Spirit, one of which is patience.
We are not of this world but are children of the kingdom of God, but we do not yet see it. Until we do we must endure the trials, tribulations, and persecutions of this life because we are different from the people of this world.
Patience is the key. As a farmer patiently waits for a crop to come to maturity, ready for the market, so too we must learn patience as we await the coming of the Lord and His kingdom.
