To be mature in Jesus Christ means that you will go through suffering. Christ suffered in the flesh and those who choose to follow Him and who are growing to maturity in Jesus Christ will also suffer for their faith.
This is to be expected as those in Christ stand opposed to all of the evil and the evil one who rules this world.
But we must learn how to go through suffering and what the point of it is. We need to learn to rejoice in our sufferings as Christians and so receive the promises and blessings of God.
